For The Love Of Books

How can I not love books? I know it may sound  cliché to say how it can take me to a different place, a different world. But I love how my mind wanders as I imagine things I’ve read from books.

I always enjoy daydreaming and being completely lost in it. Every time. It’s amazing how I get too attached to fictional characters even after I finish reading. I know bookworms will understand how hard it is to move on from one book to another. You know what I mean? sigh

As far as I can remember, it all started in high school—junior year—I suppose. Like any other teenager these days, I started with wattpad, too. I’ve always believed wattpad stories are way too cute, even until now. I can still remember reading them with my friends in between classes and the way we used to discuss the part we’re currently reading like it’s a school activity. Talking about how we felt for the characters, and the story itself.

I started with Bong Ong books. Who wouldn’t love Bob Ong, anyway? I think, he’s a genius! I loved his books (though I haven’t read all his books), but I love everything about it. I loved his style, his way of writing.

Then, college happened— and I’m so lucky to find myself friends who love reading as much as I do, which is why the nerd in me continues to live. Haha! Practically speaking, PDF saved our lives this time. From TFiOS to Fifty Shades of Grey sequel and so on and so forth.

I used to borrow books from my college friends, and even from my bestfriend (who’s also a book lover). They’re my source of good books and I’m always updated because of them. It was until I read my favorite book—Looking for Alaska—when I realized I want to start collecting books, too. I wanted to have my own library at home where I can display all the books I’ve read that I can re-read anytime I want.

While on the process of collecting, I think a virtual library won’t hurt nobody so I’ll start here.

In this library, I’ll be sharing about my own kind of Good Reads, my personal book list. I can’t say it’s going to be a “review,” really, but I’ll try. Hehe.

Sharing soon.. ❤
